1. 1978MBBS, Bangalore Medical CollegeDr Satish qualifies in medicine at Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore University, after a course begun in 1971. The degree is awarded on 27 April 1978.
2. 1983MD in Dermatology and Venereology at AIIMS, New DelhiThree years of postgraduate resident training at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, under Dr L K Bhutani, Dr J S Pasricha and Dr R K Pandhi. His MD thesis studies the therapeutic and immunological aspects of vitiligo.
3. 1984–1992Assistant Professor of Dermatology, M S Ramaiah Medical CollegeNine years teaching undergraduate dermatology in Bengaluru.
4. 1988–1990Secretary and Treasurer, IADVL Karnataka–Tamilnadu State BranchDr Satish's first office-bearer post in the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists.
5. since 1992The clinic opens in JayanagarDr Satish begins practice as Senior Consultant Dermatologist at the Skin, Cosmetic & ENT Care Centre in 4th T Block, Jayanagar, where he has practised ever since.

7. 1993President, IADVL Karnataka–Tamilnadu State BranchIn the same year Dr Satish is Organising Secretary of the IADVL–KT State conference in Bangalore, attended by 250 delegates, and editor of its souvenir and IADVL history booklet.
