What it is
Endoscopic sinus surgery, also called functional endoscopic sinus surgery or FESS, is surgery on the sinuses carried out using an endoscope. An endoscope is a narrow rigid telescope fitted with a camera and light, passed through the nostril, that lets the surgeon view the inside of the nose and sinuses on a screen.
