What it is
Microlaryngeal surgery is surgery on the larynx, or voice box, carried out with a laryngoscope and an operating microscope. A laryngoscope is a tube-like instrument passed through the mouth that gives a view of the vocal cords. The microscope magnifies these small structures for the surgeon.
